So with the recent updates, I became inundated with squares, so my mum took on the challenge to sew them into smaller blankets so they can be fixed together.

She has worked so hard on these, and I really appreciate the help. As you can see she has divided them into similar colours and styles, which I think look great!

As you can see, there are eight blankets!

So there we are… a whole heap of updates today, and my sofa is now choca with squares that I have just photographed. Here is the mountain:

Roath Parish Crochet Club in Cardiff, S.Wales have sent in an enormous 147 squares. Not only are there 13 x 10″ squares, but a whole pile of 134 x 5″. My cat liked them a lot, but I didn’t let her play with them!

Holly Scott from Philadelphia, PA, US has sent in 19 squares. When I first saw where these were from, I instantly thought ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ had made them, as he is from Philly. Cant really see Will Smith doing crochet though!

The brown squares below have shiny thread in them!

A colossal amount of squares were sent by the lovely Sylvia Mordue in Cleveland, UK. 12 x 10″ and 25 x 5″ squares to be precise. Many different colours, designs, textures in this package. My favourite is the 11th image, with the 4 little squares in the middle.

Some of the most different designs in one bag yet!

A huge amount of squares have been sent in by Brenda Coxall, from High Wycombe in the UK. Twenty 10″ squares, and eight 5″ squares, all in pastal colours. They are all very cute, and finished with a woolen tassel on each.

The last two images show how interested my kitten and bunny were of this particular package!

These squares have been made by Kelly Whittle, from Grays in Essex, UK. They are very contrasting is thickness; the dark one is thick, while the pink one is thin!
